I like Scotish music it always sounds like there is a bagpipe solo ready to be inserted at will.
I do not know if I would trust that 'Insects' chick with a pair of scissors. (Remember-Lorena Bobbit) but hey look what Brittney Spears did when they gave her the clippers.

Can't say I was ever into Altered Images all that much, though Clare Grogan was something of a cutie. Other bands from Scotland you might try:

Incredible String Band
Franz Ferdinand
Average White Band
Belle & Sebastian
Battlefield Band
Sensational Alex Harvey Band
Annie Lennox
Frankie Miller
Dick Gaughan
Jock Tamson's Bairns
Bert Jansch
Simple Minds
Teenage Fanclub
John Martyn
The Proclaimers
Blue Nile
Mull Historical Society
Martyn Bennett
Big Country
Mogwai
Runrig
Trashcan Sinatras
Nazareth
Aztec Camera
Arab Strap
Rezillos
The Shotts and Dykehead Pipeband

The Bay City Rollers

No wait, strike that last one.

Not bad for a little country, eh?

Been a nice day here too (seen through the window!). I'm about to quit work for the day, pour myself a drink, put on some sweet sounds, and get down to cooking something tasty. Life is good!

Rob, am I taking it that you're from Scotland? Or parents from Scotland---whatever... Years ago my wife picked up the Outlander series of books written by Diana Gabaldon & sort of adopted Scotland as her homeland away from home. We have a friend that owned the Dundonnell Store on the Dundonnell Estate up in the Highlands, in the township of Durnamuck. He looked out his bedroom window @ Loch Broom; Ullapool, Gairloch, and An Tealach are all within easy reach of his home. I'm not sure whether or not you'd even know where exactly this is, because the Production Supervisor her @ work is from Fife & he has no idea where Dundonnell is. Anyway, it's nice to know another head from--and I mean NO disrespect--the stuffy ole UK.
To quote our Rainbow Warrior family/friends in the Nat'l Forests in the US---"WWWEEE LLLOOOVVVEEE YYYOOOUUU!!!
PS. any other's that have gone to previous Gatherings, or going to any future Gatherings? Stateside, or International? If you don't know what I'm speaking of, try www.welcomehome.org ---

Me from Scotland? Whiteffer gave you that idea?
:-)

Sure, by Tummel and Loch Rannoch and Lochaber I will go.
By heather tracks wi' heaven in their wiles;
If it's thinkin' in your inner heart the braggarts in my step,
You've never smelt the tangle o' the Isles!
